DESCRIPTION

We are a fast-growing startup looking for an experienced Retail Account Manager [Contract] to oversee our critical Walmart and Drug channels on an interim basis. This role will work within the Retail team, reporting into the Director of Wholesale, and partnering with the Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams. Your contributions will help ensure retail continues its massive growth trajectory!

Contract Term: ~5 months at 40 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $50 per hour

This role will be coverage for a member of the quip team who will be out on leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Own total performance and management of customer accounts: Ownership of customer relationship (and broker relationships where appropriate)

Reporting and analytics internally and externally

Full P&L accountability for accounts

Develop promotional plans and advance plan for execution

Partner with Sales Director on pricing and assortment strategy

Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Provide best in class service to retail buyers

Partner with marketing team on in-store and .com merchandising and retail marketing initiatives; Ensure executional excellence for digital and physical shelves

Collaborate cross-functionally with the Operations and Finance to ensure accuracy in forecasting and planning

Deliver best-in-class Line Reviews to set future years up for success, including maximizing existing assortment and programs, anniversarying key activity, and presenting new innovation for future acceptance

Maintain a strong understanding of trends, competitive landscape and how they relate to quip's goals.

Be the source of truth for interdepartmental requests and on business questions for owned retail accounts

Be "on the hunt" for creative ways for quip to show up in retail, including new and unique channels


REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of Account Management experience (CPG mass/drug retail experience preferred)

Proven track record of success in managing, analyzing, and growing key accounts

Comprehensive understanding of the retail life cycle and familiarity with retailer seasonal considerations

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail with effective prioritization and organization skills

Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in written and oral presentations

Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment where self-direction and initiative are highly encouraged

Passionate, driven and eager to learn and grow

Possesses strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, innovative thinking and vision

Experience with syndicated data preferred
